France's drones to identify violent people in ralliesParis, Aug 24 (Prensa Latina) France’s Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin called on Monday for using drones to identify violent people in rallies, after Sunday evening’s riots due to PSG’s setback in the Champions League.
During a visit to the southern city of Nimes, he urged for creating rules and regulations to use these devices and ‘bring to justice the perpetrators of damage and attacks like yesterday.’

Darmanin praised the arrests and police actions against the violent in spots of this capital, but insisted on the need for other tools that liberate the incidents of criminals.

Earlier, the minister said on Twitter that 16 agents were injured, 12 businesses were attacked and 15 vehicles were damaged, some totally burned.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, over 150 people were arrested, including 49 minors, and around a hundred are still in police custody.

The charges against those arrested would be for destruction of property, throwing projectiles (stones) against officers and association to commit a crime, among others.
