A traffic collision on Highway 44 near the KOA campground entrance east of Shingletown has injured multiple people, according to emergency dispatchers.
The four-vehicle collision was reported around 9:15 a.m. Friday and it involved a Toyota 4Runner, a Hyundai Veracruz, Infinity QX4 and a motorhome, the California Highway Patrol said on its Traffic Incident Information website.
Crews on the scene requested a medical helicopter and additional emergency personnel to help.
One person has been critically injured and two have suffered moderate injuries, paramedics told dispatchers.
